Hi, I’m Steph. A Swansea based Surface Pattern Designer.

I grew up in Swansea, with a passion for art since day one. I have always had the urge to make, do, mend with pretty much anything I could get my hands on. Same thing with painting, I would always be painting as a child with whatever material that was at my reach.

I have an obsession with pattern and texture, maximalist prints and clashing patterns, whether fashion or interior furnishings – I LOVE the power of pattern.

In recent years I have started to develop my skills and identify my own personal brand design identity. I would consider my design to be very playful and unique. Utilising all traditional methods of print and pattern making, and translating them into digital prints.

Currently I’m in my third year at the University of Wales Trinity St.David, studying Surface Pattern Design, in Swansea. Once I’ve finished my BA, I intend to continue straight into completing a one year MDes course, to further my knowledge and understanding, of my personal identity, and where I would like to see myself in the near future.
